Says that Infogames Owns Cryptic and Not Atari so Atari will be distributing the game not developing it. That is a Load off my Mind

With Atari Bleeding Euros in the first quarter is Champions, Star Trek and all of the other Properties could be in jeopardy. Company President Phil Harrison is going out the door after a year of loosing nearly 250 Million and I can see why.

I wonder if he has been feathering his bed with our hopes and digital dreams. I really wonder if Cryptic's decision to sell its self to the troubled Atari is going to prove to be as wise as we all thought.

While the smaller company has a great track record in the MMO field Atari has been struggleing since the 70's to keep its head above water. Now the announcement that the company has loss so much money has me wondering if even the two great franchises of Champions and Star Trek be enough to pull them out of the slump. Atari seems to be banking on them to Keep it alive. With an estimated 100,000 subscriber base providing 1.5 million a month in revenue you have to wonder if Champions can keep the Giant alive long enough for the larger potential customer base of Star Trek's mmo to come online sometime in 2010.

Kotaku.com reports that Test Drive is being sold back to Infogrames for $5 million
edge-online.com Says they will be Shuttering production to focus on publishing and distribution of other peoples production.
bigdownload.com Is reporting that Cryptic will be focusing on Other IP in the future?

Ok Its a Rumor But I think it's very good so.
NO Costume Creator there was some one looking into it and found they would have the game published and probably have a expansion out before they could get the software written.

New Rumor About Open Beta

On the Forums Some one was posting a Aug. 17th date. I have been trying to get hold of anyone at Cryptic But they don't seem to be answering their bat signal. Ok, Is it going the the 14th or the 17th? Either one makes since?

Ok Work and Lack of new content made me drop off the board for a while (WOW didn't help)but now it's time to get back to my roots and thats superheroes and Champions.

As you know by now the Date of the Release has been released and it's time to see about saving up for the purchase. (Hey Wifey I need a few bucks for a new game)
